Welcome to our website! As we have the ability to list over one million items on our website (our selection changes all of the time), it is not feasible for a company our size to record and playback the descriptions on every item on our website. However, if you have a disability we are here to help you. Please call our disability services phone line at 860-653-8266 during regular business hours and one of our kind and friendly personal shoppers will help you navigate through our website, help conduct advanced searches, help you choose the item you are looking for with the specifications you are seeking, read you the specifications of any item and consult with you about the products themselves. There is no charge for the help of this personal shopper for anyone with a disability. Finally, your personal shopper will explain our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, and help you place an order if you so desire.

The 10 Commandments of Appliance Shopping

I. When selecting a cooking product or dryer, know your fuel source. Is it electric, gas or liquid propane?
II. Have an idea of venting configurations. Will it be vented out or re-circulated? Will it be an updraft or downdraft?
III. When selecting an oven, will it be convection or non-convection? If unsure how convection works, ask your appliance salesperson.
IV. Know your dimensions. What space do you have available for your refrigerator, cook-top, stove, oven etc.? If you have plans, bring them along and show them to your salesperson.
V. Obtain your appliance specifications prior to having cabinets ordered or counters installed.
VI. Carefully prep utilities for retrofits. When retrofitting an existing kitchen for a new appliance, carefully survey the space before drilling holes, modifying the opening or cutting cabinetry.
VII. Always check for inadequate cabinet clearance and interference with other appliances. Clearance and interference issues are typically a direct result of improper planning.
VIII. Prepare the power supplies and vent requirements properly. You don’t want to have an appliance installed toward the end of a job only to discover that the rough in is incorrect or that there isn’t sufficient clearance to run ventilation through the ceiling.
IX. When purchasing a dishwasher, know if you have hard water.
X. Prepare the job site for appliance delivery. Some appliances are so large and heavy that a strategic plan is necessary.
